Rustico e resistente, si adatta perfettamente al territorio dell\u2019isola e non richiede cure particolarmente complesse. \u00c8 un cavallo sensibile, fedele al proprio cavaliere e dotato di grande intelligenza, qualit\u00e0 che lo rendono ideale per diverse discipline tradizionali.  <\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-start=\"1297\" data-end=\"1492\">He shows a natural predisposition for <strong data-start=\"1340\" data-end=\"1359\">Minorcan dressage<\/strong>,<strong data-start=\"1364\" data-end=\"1380\"> vaquera dressage<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1385\" data-end=\"1410\">traditional bullfighting<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"1417\" data-end=\"1429\">driving,<\/strong> always distinguishing himself for his elegance and willingness to work.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-start=\"1494\" data-end=\"1562\">From a morphological point of view, the Menorqu\u00edn is harmonious and slender:<\/p><ul><li data-start=\"1565\" data-end=\"1615\">medium-sized head, lean and expressive<\/li><li data-start=\"1618\" data-end=\"1651\">small and well-set ears<\/li><li data-start=\"1654\" data-end=\"1716\">big, striking eyes that give an intense gaze<\/li><li data-start=\"1719\" data-end=\"1780\">strong, slightly arched neck, powerful and well-muscled<\/li><li data-start=\"1783\" data-end=\"1812\">thick and strong mane<\/li><li data-start=\"1815\" data-end=\"1883\">long, slender torso, with a straight, ascending back-lumbar line<\/li><li data-start=\"1886\" data-end=\"1959\">fine but solid limbs, with strong joints and hard, healthy hooves<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-start=\"1961\" data-end=\"2034\">The result is an elegant, obedient, and surprisingly agile horse.<\/p><h2>Ancient origins of a recently recognized race<\/h2><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-start=\"2098\" data-end=\"2462\">Although <strong data-start=\"2112\" data-end=\"2183\">the Menorquina breed was only officially recognized in 1987<\/strong>, its presence on the island has been documented for centuries. Recognition came after an in-depth study conducted by the renowned Spanish zoologist <strong data-start=\"2329\" data-end=\"2354\">Antonio S\u00e1nchez Belda<\/strong>, who confirmed the existence of morphological and functional characteristics that defined it as a distinct breed. <\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" data-start=\"2464\" data-end=\"2810\">The first historical records date back to <strong data-start=\"2521\" data-end=\"2532\">77 AD<\/strong>, when <strong data-start=\"2541\" data-end=\"2562\">Pliny the Elder<\/strong> mentioned Menorca as a land renowned for breeding high-quality livestock.
